Mahogany Inn and Distillery Open House

Open House at Mahogany Inn and Distillery | Saturday 24 October | 12:00 – 3:00pm

Step inside one of Perth Hills’ most historic landmarks and experience the Mahogany Inn & Distillery as it is today – and as it has been in the past.

Join us for a relaxed Open House featuring guided accommodation tours between 12pm-1.15pm, where guests can explore some of our rooms and learn more about staying at the Inn. Enjoy complimentary, guided tastings of our Spirits of Mahogany international award winning gin and vodka, proudly distilled on site. Our kitchen will also be serving complimentary nibbles in the Distillery.

Adding a special historical layer to the day, we will be unveiling our HISTORY BOARD, with the help of the Mundaring and Hills Historical Society (MHHS) who we have been working closely with for the last year, while they have researched, recorded and referenced the history of the venue and presented it in a comprehensive timeline.

MHHS volunteers will be on site, not only for the unveiling of the board, but also with their own display which explores the rich history of the Mahogany Inn. MHHS will be available to answer questions and to record visitors’ stories or scan photographs or documents connected to their own memories and experiences at the Inn – helping preserve its living history for future generations.

We will also be announcing a very special event relating to the incredibly interesting history of our heritage venue, which will be taking place in the new year. We can’t wait to share it with you!

Whether you’re a local, a history lover, or simply curious to see behind the scenes, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the past and present of the Mahogany Inn and Distillery.
